EXPERIENCE OPPORTUNITY
TOP ACT Players in Project I's A Dolls House. TOP believes that democratically-created theatre art, molded and shaped within an inclusive ensemble environment, can and does indeed improve every participant's sense of self-determination and increases each participant's ability to positively interact with others in our local and global communities
Therefore, TOP envisions the year-round facilitation of inclusive theatre arts education programs and other artistic experiences that empower participants of all ages and abilities to redirect their inherent creativity toward productive life outcomes that benefits Southern-Indiana and beyond.
To achieve TOP's vision, TOP abides by the following values: ~ #1 ~ Quality Community Artwork is a "PROCESS" and Not a "Product" Therefore, successful TOP community productions are always judged by the group-decision making process, the rapport of the ensemble both on-stage and off-stage, the personal achievement of individual actors and artists based on previous artwork, and the audience-participant interaction throughout all community-sponsored events.
~ #2 ~ Every Person Possesses Inherent CREATIVITY Therefore, TOP will always cast actors and artists into challenging roles within challenging shows based on previous experiences working with particular persons or an artist's stated personal goals to achieve certain outcomes.
~ #3 ~ Democratic Ensembles Make MEANINGFUL Community Artwork Possible Therefore, TOP will facilitate a trusting and open environment to encourage personal and group creativity and to foster a safe place for creative individual artistic expression.
~ #4 ~ Inspired Confidence and Practical Experience Improve OUTCOMES Therefore, TOP will keep its doors always open to any actor, artist, or other community member who wants to help create community art for community's sake.
~ #5 ~ All People Deserve a Chance to SUCCEED as Artists in Life Therefore, TOP welcomes any and all willing participants, especially underserved and underrepresented actors and artists. |
